Wild Turkey master distiller Eddie Russell created this whiskey as an homage to the original Forgiven bottling, which blended Bourbon and Rye accidentally. This blend of Bourbon and Rye was finished in Rye casks, and the nose has touches of caramel, fresh apples, peaches, honey, vanilla, and hints of spice and charred oak. The taste combines fresh fruits with baking spices and toffee sweetness, with a hint of cherries underneath. The finish is long and spicy with a nice underlying sweetness. Outstanding!
