This whisky is made with heavily smoked barley, but with mesquite instead of peat. The nose has touches of mesquite smoke, cocoa beans, and earthy garden soil. The taste starts off with vanilla and a subtle hint of mesquite smoke that builds to a nice peak with touches of Christmas spices and toffee, along with hints of peaches and apricots in the background. The finish has lingering spices, mesquite smoke, and hints of peaches and apricots.
