Westward Oregon Straight Malt

Country: USA

Region: Oregon

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 45%

Score: 85 Points

Westward Oregon Straight Malt. Image courtesy House Spirits. This Oregon single malt from House Spirits in Portland has a nose with notes of fresh berries, malt, ginger, brown sugar, honey, and oak. The taste has a good balance of cinnamon, honey, brown sugar, a hint of maple, vanilla, and a touch of allspice in the background. The finish is slightly spicy and dry with hints of burnt caramel and oak. It’s fairly young, but shows good promise for the future. (April, 2016)
