Yes, it’s in a can instead of a bottle, and while that might have traditionalists cringing, this blended Irish Whiskey does have some advantages. For instance, one could throw the 100ml can into a backpack for a weekend camping trip or an airline-friendly toiletries kit without worrying about breaking a glass bottle. The whiskey inside isn’t bad, either. The nose has notes of ginger, grass clippings, honey, vanilla, and a touch of pencil shavings. The taste starts off light and fruity at first, followed by a nice burst of spices with touches of clove, ginger and allspice. There’s also a slight nuttiness, a hint of oak, and touches of apples, honey, and straw, The finish is long and gentle with a nice balance. (March, 2021)
