Thompson Brothers 1991 Islay Single Malt

Thompson Brothers 1991 Islay Single Malt

Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Thompson Brothers

ABV: 50.2%

Score: 89 Points

This is a 30-year-old single malt from a refill cask that was bottled for Taiwan’s HNWS, and the nose has a gentle smokiness with hints of creosote, lemongrass, brine, smoked salmon, and a hint of butterscotch. The taste has a subtle smokiness with a slow buildup of spices and touches of butterscotch, smoked salmon, and brine. The finish has that same subtle smokiness along with touches of spice.
