The Whisky Agency 1990 Irish Single Malt. Image courtesy Speciality Drinks. As with its 1989 counterpart, this is an Irish single malt from an undisclosed distillery that was bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange in 2017 after maturing for 27 years in an ex-Bourbon barrel. The nose has notes of apples, dried peaches, orange peel, honey, and vanilla. The taste has a good balance of fruit and spices with orange peel, peaches, honey, fresh berries, and touches of clove and ginger. The finish is long and slightly dry with lingering touches of orange peel, honey, and subtle spices. Very nice! (March, 2018)
