The Macallan Anniversary Malt. Photo ©2015 by Mark Gillespie. This vintage 25-year-old Macallan has a thick, fruity nose with classic Sherry cask notes of raisins, plums, Christmas cake, and subtle spices. The taste is thick and spicy with clove and cinnamon on top and fruity notes of raisins, prunes, plums, and Christmas cake underneath, along with an astringent dry touch. The finish is medium-length and slow to fade with cooked fruits and a touch of sherry. (November, 2015)
