Teeling Brabazon Bottling Series 2. Image courtesy Teeling Whiskey Company.Like Teeling’s Brabazon Bottling Series 1, this whiskey gets its name from the Brabazons, the family that once owned much of the Liberties neighborhood in Dublin where the Teeling Whisky Company is located today. This bottling comes from casks filled between 2001 and 2009, with 65% matured in a range of Ruby Port wine casks. The nose is rich and complex with a touch of baked oranges and hints of clove and allspice. The taste is thick, but subtle at first with excellent spicy notes of clove, allspice, and white pepper that build up gradually and last through the extremely long and warming finish. (October, 2017)
