Teeling Blackpitts Irish Single Malt Whiskey. Image courtesy Teeling Whiskey Company. This is the first peated whiskey distilled in Dublin in decades, and is the second release of Teeling Whiskey Conpany’s own whiskey from its distillery in Dublin. The nose has a good peatiness along with grilled pineapple, dried flowers, honey, and vanilla. The taste has good spicy notes of cinnamon and white pepper balanced by peat smoke, grilled pineapple tartness, and hints of honey and vanilla. The finish is long, smoky, and tart with a gentle spiciness. (November, 2020)
