This Danish whisky is a blend of Stauning’s single malt, smoked single malt, and rye whiskies. The nose is aromatic and malty with a kiss of smoke, butterscotch, honey, and dried fruits. Spices build up slowly on the palate to a nice peak with honey, butterscotch, and dried fruits underneath, while a touch of smoke adds a nice complexity. The finish is long and gentle with subtle spices, honey sweetness, and a touch of smoke. (June, 2021)
