St. George Single Malt Whiskey. Image courtesy St. George Spirits.St. George Spirits in California’s San Francisco Bay Area was one of the pioneers in American single malt distilling, and this batch of St. George Single Malt does not disappoint. The nose is gentle and malty with hints of butterscotch and dried flowers. The taste is clean and grassy with notes of straw, vanilla, a nice burst of black pepper, butterscotch, and a touch of honey in the background. The finish is long and gentle with a nice kiss of spice. (August, 2017)
