Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 50%

Score: 93 Points

This heavily peated Islay single malt comes from barley grown on Islay farms in 2013 and distilled in 2014. The 7-year-old whiskey has a peaty and phenolic nose with touches of creosote, heather, honey, and a subtle maltiness. The taste is peppery and pungent with notes of cinnamon, cayenne pepper, peat, barley sugar, and heather. The finish is long and smoky with lingering spices. Nice!
