Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

This 5-yar-old Octomore is made from 100% Scottish barley peated to 137.2 parts per million of phenols and matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. The nose has touches of peat smoke, heather, a good maltiness, and hints of honey and dried fruits. The taste is peaty with grilled fruits, honey, barley sugar, and hints of cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is long and smoky with an underlying maltiness. (September, 2022)
