Country: Ireland

Region:

Type: Irish whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46%

Score: 92 Points

This is the first Method and Madness release distilled in the microdistillery located on the grounds of the Midleton Distillery in Ireland, and was distilled from a mash of 60% rye and 40% malted barley before being matured in ex-Bourbon barrels. The nose has notes of straw, grilled fruits, baking spices, honey, dried flowers, and a hint of beefiness. The taste is thick and toasty with touches of white pepper, chili powder, toasted wood, honey, and dried fruits. The finish is subtle and lingers nicely with a nice maltiness and hints of spices.
