Longrow 1974 Single Malt. Photo ©2015 by Mark Gillespie. This vintage Campbeltown classic was bottled in 1990 after 16 years of maturation, and held up amazingly even after another 25 years in the bottle!

The nose is spicy and malty with a hint of smoke, honey, vanilla, coconut, and a subtle touch of citrus. The smokiness comes alive on the palate with campfire smoke, driftwood, a hint of wet briny sand, and the same subtle touch of citrus. The finish is long, smoky, spicy, and amazing. Wow!
