Longmorn 1967

Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: MacKillop's Choice

ABV: 43%

Score: 93 Points

This whisky spent 36 years in the cask, and its’ dark amber color reflects that. The nose is malty and herbal with notes of rosemary and thyme, dried grasses and straw, along with fresh-baked bread and a slight yeasty aroma. The maltiness continues in the taste, along with a sharp spiciness of black pepper and chili powder on the front of the tongue. There’s a hint of dried citrus, perhaps pineapple as well. The finish is smooth and crisp.
