Lagavulin 2023 Distiller’s Edition

Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 43%

Score: 93 Points

This annual Lagavulin release is finished in PX-seasoned American oak casks, and the nose has touches of cooked plums, raisin bread, figs, and a subtle smokiness. The taste has peat smoke and black pepper balanced by dried fruits and hints of raisins, plums, and figs. The finish is long with a lingering touch of pepper and dried fruits underneath. (June, 2023)
