Kilchard Blended Malt Scotch Whisky. Photo ©2020, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media. This is a very rare and unique blended malt, since it includes the first ever cask from Ardnamurchan Distillery to be bottled. Adelphi’s Alex Bruce teamed up with Kilchoman’s Anthony Wills (Bruce…Wills, get it?) to blend a cask from each of their distilleries for this special release of Kilchard (say it slow and with a silent “c”).

The nose has a good balance of sweetness and peat with honey, dried flowers, and a gentle kiss of peat smoke. The taste is well-balanced with gentle spices, peat smoke, honey, and a hint of butterscotch. The finish is very long with lingering spices and a gentle sweetness in the background. An excellent whisky that will have you yelling “Yippee-ki-yay, mother******!” (March, 2020)
