Kavalan Amontillado Single Cask

Country: Taiwan

Region:

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 57.8%

Score: 93 Points

Kavalan Amontillado Single Cask. Image courtesy Kavalan/King Car. This is one of the first Kavalan single cask malts to be sold in the U.S., and the ABV will vary from cask to cask. The nose has a great Sherry aroma with notes of dried fruits, figs, toffee, allspice, dark honey, and oak. The taste is fruity and spicy with cinnamon, white pepper, figs, plums, raisins, and toffee notes, along with a hint of honey in the background and a cheek-puckering mouthfeel. The finish is dry and long with subtle touches of dried fruits, toffee, and spices. Excellent! (July, 2017)
