House of Hazelwood 1963 “A Singular Blend”

Country: Scotland
Region:
Type: Blended Scotch
Bottler: House of Hazelwood
ABV: 45.6%
Score: 96 Points
This whisky from 1963 combines malt and grain whiskies from the same distillery, laid down by the Gordon family for decades. The nose has notes of wood spices, leather, honey, and vanilla. The taste has a good vibrant balance of sweet fruits and sour candies, with subtle spices, butterscotch, and wet saddle leather. The finish is long, spicy, and dry with touches of walnut wood and nutmeg. Outstanding!
