Highland Park Ice Edition

Region: Highlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 53.9%

Score: 93 Points

Highland Park Ice. Image courtesy Highland Park/Edrington.This 17-year-old single malt is the first bottling in a new range from Highland Park, and the nose is malty with tropical fruit notes of pineapple, mango, and a hint of papaya. Ginger root, vanilla, and a hint of smoke add balance and complexity. The taste is surprising smoky and peaty for a Highland Park, but balanced well by ginger root, vanilla, oak, and a hint of cardamom. The finish is long, smoky, spicy, and woody. Wow! (April, 2016)
