Heaven Hill 85th Anniversary Single Barrel Bourbon. Image courtesy Heaven Hill Distillery.This 13-year-old Bourbon was released to commemorate Heaven Hill’s 85th anniversary on December 13, 2020, and comes from a single barrel filled on December 13, 2006 and dumped on the same date in 2019. The nose has notes of molasses, caramel, honey, vanilla, and a touch of oak. The taste has touches of apples and peaches balanced by black pepper and allspice with hints of molasses cookies and caramel candy in the background. The finish is long and fades away gently with a wonderful balance of spices and tree fruits. Excellent! (November, 2020)
