Country: Scotland

Region: Campbeltown

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 54.9%

Score: 93 Points

This single malt was bottled for the virtual 2021 Campbeltown Malts Festival online tastings, and was distilled using unpeated malt from Springbank’s floor maltings. The nose is fruity with touches of orange marmalade, figs, dates, plums, Christmas cake, and toffee. The taste is thick and oily with a good balance of orange marmalade, baking spices, toffee, Christmas cake, and a hint of nuttiness in the background. Adding a few drops of water opens up the fruitiness and nutty character. The finish is long, warming, and well-balanced. Wow! (July, 2021)

Special thanks to Matt Lurin and the Water of Life Festival for making this sample available.
