Gordon & MacPhail 1982 Dallas Dhu. Image courtesy Gordon & MacPhail. This whisky was distilled the year before Dallas Dhu closed in 1983, and was bottled in 2009. The nose is fruity and floral with notes of pineapple, freshly-cut grass, lemon zest, and a hint of smokiness. The taste is tart and fruity with lemon, banana, coconut, grass, and straw notes. A few drops of water helps to bring out honey sweetness that adds a nice balance. The finish is long, very smooth, and tart. Excellent! (November, 2015)
