Country: Scotland

Region: Lowlands

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 48%

Score: 92 Points

This Glengoyne bottling honors Sir Arthur John Tedder, the Glengoyne exciseman who helped define the standards for Scotch Whisky during the 1908 Royal Commission on Whisky hearings. It is matured in a combination of refill Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, and the nose has touches of cinnamon and vanilla, figs, dates, and hints of berry jam and tree fruits. The taste is thick and oily with raisins, cinnamon spice, sherry touches of figs and dates, along with a hint of dark chocolate. The finish is long with lingering spices and touches of dried fruits and dark chocolate.
