G. Rozelieures Fumé Collection. Image courtesy Cru & Terroir. This lightly peated French single malt from the Dupic family in Lorraine is matured for 8 years in Fino Sherry casks, and the nose has a good balance of soft peat, red grapes, plums, and baked apples with soft spices and a hint of oak. The taste is fruity and well-rounded with a good balance of white pepper, soft peatiness, red apples and grapes, and a touch of mintiness in the background. The finish is subtle and dry with a fruity tartness and hint of white pepper. (January, 2015)
