Country: USA

Region: Nevada

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 64.98%

Score: 95 Points

This single barrel selected by Frey Ranch’s Ashley and Colby Frey has a subtle, aromatic nose with touches of black cherries, cake frosting, marzipan, powdered sugar, spearmint, and dried grass. The taste is mouth-puckeringly dry with baking spices that last and last, along with honey, vanilla, and hints of garden herbs and cocoa powder that come out as the spices fade. Adding a few drops of water brings out more complexity on the palate with dried fruits and floral notes. The finish is long and complex with dry spices that linger nicely. Excellent! (September, 2021)
