Egan's Legacy Reserve II Irish Single Malt Whisky. Image courtesy P&H Egan Ltd.The second edition of Egan’s Legacy Reserve is a 16-year-old Irish single malt first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in Banyuls wine casks. The nose is buttery with a nice maltiness and touches of lemon zest, ginger root, allspice, and a touch of oak. The taste has a creamy mouthfeel with good ginger and allspice notes along with honey, black tea with lemon, and barley sugar. The finish is long with subtle spices and a honeyed sweetness.
