This Duncan Taylor 52-year-old single malt spent most of its life in an ex-Bourbon barrel before being finished in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry cask that yielded just 25 bottles. The nose is aromatic and vibrant with touches of Christmas cake, wood spices, and a touch of oak. The taste has a nice balance of dark chocolate, cinnamon, tropical fruits, and a hint of oak. The finish is ling and subtle with touches of dark chocolate, cinnamon, and oak. Very nice! (January, 2023)
