Dry Fly Port Finish Wheat Whiskey. Image courtesy Dry Fly Distilling. This takes the standard 3-year-old Dry Fly Washington Wheat Whiskey and gives it between six and 12 months in Port wine casks. The nose is sweet and fruity with red grapes, raspberry jam, muted spices, and a hint of vanilla. The taste starts off thick and fruity-sweet, followed by a nice burst of cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg notes complemented nicely by raspberry jam, dark chocolate, and a hint of oak. The finish is long and dry with subtle hints of oak and dark chocolate. (June, 2019)
