This debut release from Tennessee’s Company Distilling comes from Ohio originally, but Company master distiller Jeff Arnett put his own spin on the whiskey with a maple wood cask finish. The nose has touches of maple syrup and bacon along with caramel candy, apple chips, and a soft oakiness. The taste has cinnamon and allspice notes balanced by maple syrup, honey, and a touch of dried fruits. The finish has lingering spices, dried fruits, and a maple sweetness. (February, 2021)
