Clayton James Single Barrel

Country: USA

Region: Tennessee

Type: Tennessee Whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 61.35%

Score: 91 Points

This is an older and stronger single barrel version of Clayton James Tennessee Whiskey, which comes from the Big Machine Distillery (formerly known as Tenn South Distillery) in Lynnville, Tennessee and its satellite distillery in downtown Nashville. It’s a 4-year-old Tennessee Whiskey, and despite its strength, the nose is sweet and gentle with touches of honey, caramel, red apples, cocoa, and a hint of black pepper. The taste has a nice oakiness along with brown sugar, black pepper spice, and hints of honey and apple cobbler in the background. The finish is long with a touch of fruitiness and spice. Very nice!
