Bushmills Acacia Distillery Exclusive. Image courtesy Bushmills. This single malt whiskey is only available at the Old Bushmills Distillery shop in County Antrim, and was finished in acacia wood casks for six months after being first matured for 10 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks. The nose is warming and comfortable with hints of grilled fruits, old leather, black tea and honey, and dried flowers. The taste is fruity and spicy with nice touches of clove and cinnamon that fade gradually to reveal honey, citrus fruits, apricots, vanilla, and a hint of oak. The finish is very long with hints of spices, sawdust, and honey. Very nice! (March, 2019)
