Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2011 Islay Single Malt. Image courtesy Bruichladdich. This whisky was distilled in 2011 using barley grown on several Islay farms during the summer of 2010. The nose has a barely noticeable whiff of smoke, along with heather, grilled pineapple, and a hint of lemon zest. The taste is peppery with a good balance of fruity notes underneath and just a hint of brine. The finish is long and gentle with subtle spices and a hint of grilled fruits. (June, 2019)
