Booker’s Bourbon Batch 2022-02 “Lumberyard Batch”

Bookers 2022-02

Country: USA

Region: Kentucky

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 62.4%

Score: 93 Points

This Bourbon gets its name from the lumber yard where Booker Noe worked after leaving the University of Kentucky after one year – and before he got his first job at the Jim Beam Distillery. It was matured for seven years and one month, and the nose has touches of vanilla beans, charred oak, dark honey, and hints of caramel and dried fruits. The taste has a good balance of wood spices, apples, honey, vanilla, and dried apricots. The finish is long, spicy, and intense. Adding some water opens up touches of dried flowers and cocoa on the palate. (August, 2022)
