Country: USA

Region: New York

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 42%

Score: 91 Points

This whiskey from Rochester’s Black Button Distilling is made with a mashbill of 60% corn, 20% wheat, 9% rye, and 11% malted barley – all grown in New York State. The nose has notes of honeycomb and brown sugar along with touches of anise, butterscotch, and vanilla. The taste has those same honeycomb and brown sugar notes balanced by a touch of cinnamon, a nice maltiness in the background, and touches of anise and toasted oak. The finish is long, aromatic, and well-balanced. (May, 2021)
