Balblair 18 Years Highland Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Balblair/International Beverage. This Highland single malt started out its maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels, and was then transferred to first-fill Spanish Oak casks for its final maturation. The nose has notes of toffee, dried fruits, raisins, and a hint of vanilla. The taste is fruity and warm with touches of apricots, pears, subtle spices, and a nice oakiness. The finish is long and gentle with touches of spices, dried fruits, and a hint of oak. Very nice! (January, 2021)
