Aatma is the name Amrut single cask bottlings are sold as in the U.S., and this five-year-old whisky has an aromatic nose with toffee, dates, honey, dried fruits, and a slightly floral character. The taste is thick and mouth-coating with good spices complemented by toffee, dates, honey, and hints of dried flowers. Adding some water opens the floral character and sweeter notes. The finish is long and spicy with a nice underlying sweetness. (October, 2022)
