This 10th anniversary edition for Rabbit Hole gets its name from the illustrator John Tenniel, who did the original illustrations for Alices’s Adventures in Wonderland. It’s a blend of Rabbit Hole’s Cavehill and Heigold Bourbons finished in new toasted and lightly charred casks. The nose has touches of baking spices, peaches, apricots, almonds, and caramel apples. The taste has notes of oak, baking spices, a hint of tobacco leaf, and a slightly nutty character. The finish has touches of allspice, honey, and a hint of mint leaves. (May, 2023)
