This Octomore is made with 100% Scottish barley peated to 137.3 parts pr million of phenols, and maturation comes from first-fill Oloroso Sherry butts. The nose is nutty with a lingering smokiness and hints of orange peel, figs, honey, and dried fruits. The taste is fruity with a sweet smokiness that builds to an intense crescendo with touches of orange peel, dried fruits, honey, and white pepper. The finish is long with a gentle smokiness and hints of grilled citrus and dried fruits. (September, 2022)
