Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Powerscourt Distillery

ABV: 46%

Score: 95 Points

This 21-year-old Fercullen single malt comes from an undisclosed distillery and is bottled at Powerscourt Distillery near Dublin. It is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels with finishing in a combination of Oloroso and PX Sherry casks. The nose is aromatic and malty with figs, dates, brown sugar, honeydew melons and mangoes. The taste is thick and unctuous with a syrupy mouthfeel and touches of dry spices, figs, dates, honey, and cooked fruits. The finish is very long and fruity with a lingering touch of spice. Excellent! (October, 2022)
