The 2023 release in the partnership between Dewar’s and the U.S. Golf Association celebrates this year’s U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club. Master blender Stephanie Macleod selected Napa Valley wine casks for the second maturation of this whisky, and the fruity character shows through on the nose with touches of raspberries and strawberries, as well as a soft oakiness, honey, and a hint of nutmeg. The taste has notes of raspberry jam, strawberries, soft spices, a touch of black cherries, and red grapes with a thick, syrupy mouthfeel. The finish is long and fruity with a hint of underlying spice.
