This is the third release in the series honoring the late “Mr. George” Urquhart, one of the pioneers of single malt Scotch Whisky, and is Gordon & MacPhail’s last cask from 1959. The nose remains fruity and vibrant after 63 years in cask, with notes of grapefruit, apricots, dried flowers, and honeydew melons. The taste is equally fruity and vibrant with touches of apricots, grapefruit, wood spices, honey, and a kiss of oak. The finish is long with lingering wood spices and dried fruits. Excellent!
