Booker’s Bourbon “Charlie’s Batch”

Booker's Bourbon

Country: USA

Region: Kentucky

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 63.3%

Score: 93 Points

The first Booker’s release of 2023 is named in honor of Charlie Hutchens, the cabinet maker who crafts each wooden box that Booker’s comes in and was a former employee at Jim Beam working for Booker Noe. In fact, Charlie built the first wooden box by hand especially for Booker. The nose has classic Bourbon notes of caramel, honey, tobacco leaf, cherries, red apples, and cinnamon. The taste is thick, mouth-coating, and spicy with black pepper and cinnamon, honey, and a touch of red apples that comes out as the spices begin to fade. The finish is long and spicy.
