Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 60%

Score: 90 Points

This is the first official distillery bottling of Dalmunach, and is an exclusive to The Whisky Exchange, which named it the Wulver as the inaugural release in the shop’s Scottish Mythical Creatures series. It’s a cask-strength bottling at 60% ABV, and while still relatively young, shows a lot of promise. The nose is malty and floral with touches of honey, tree fruits, caramel, and vanilla. The taste is fruity and peppery with peaches, red apples, white pepper, honey, and barley sugar. The finish is long and fruity with a kick of white pepper.
