This California straight rye has a nose rich with baking spices, honey, red apples, and hints of molasses and brown sugar. The taste has lemon pepper spice, a hint of cocoa powder, brown sugar, honey, and vanilla notes, and adding some water opens up touches of fruity character while not diminishing the spicy intensity. The finish has gently lingering spices and lemony tartness with hints of cocoa and vanilla in the background. (October, 2021)
