This whisky was matured entirely in an ex-Port wine cask, and the nose has touches of espresso, red apples, almonds, toffee, and a hint of chocolate. The taste has notes of dark chocolate, fresh berries, dried fruits, and a touch of almond oil. The finish is long and gentle with lingering touches of berries and dark chocolate. (April, 2022)
