This Bourbon gets its name from the Army’s “Horse Soldiers” who led the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The nose has touches of toasted caramel, toasted marshmallows, charred oak, honey, and a hint of baked apples. The taste starts off light and fruity at first, followed by a burst of spices and charred oak along with dried fruits, brown sugar, and honey. The finish is long with a soft oakiness, gentle spices, and touches of brown sugar and honey. (August, 2021)
