Shibui Grain Select Japanese Whisky. Image courtesy Shibui Whisky/IND Beverages. This Japanese grain whisky is distilled from wheat and matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, Oloroso, and Mizunara Oak casks. The nose has notes of pine needles, jasmine, green tea, kiwi fruit, and a touch of lime zest. The taste is fruity, tart, and complex with touches of tropical fruits, pine needles, incense, sandalwood, and lime zest. The finish is long, light, and tart with a hint of spice. (June, 2021)
