Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Hunter Laing & Co.

ABV: 46%

Score: 93 Points

This Islay single malt from Hunter Laing & Co. comes from an undisclosed Islay distillery, and the nose has a soft peatiness, honey, heather, dried flowers, toasted caramel, and a hint of oak. The taste is smoky and spicy with a nice balance of black pepper and cinnamon complemented by toasted caramel, honey, and touches of butterscotch and oak. The finish is long and smoky with a touch of spice and sweeter notes adding balance underneath. Very nice! (June, 2021)
